Tiffany Pradel Pleads Guilty to Bath Salts Conspiracy

A Luzerne County woman has admitted to her involvement in a conspiracy to distribute alpha-pvp, commonly known as ‘bath salts’,

according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Tiffany Pradel, 30, of Pittston, pleaded guilty to participating in the conspiracy between 2011 and 2013.

Pradel was indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2014, following an investigation by Department of Homeland Security agents, the Pennsylvania State Police, and West Pittston Police.

The maximum sentence for the offense is 20 years in prison and a $1million fine. Judge Malachy E. Mannion ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Sentencing will be scheduled after the completion of the pre-sentence report.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Francis P. Sempa.

Pradel’s guilty plea marks a significant milestone in the investigation, which has been ongoing for several years. The collaboration between law enforcement agencies has been crucial in bringing the case to a conclusion.
