A 20-year-old Kansas City man has admitted to peddling child pornography online, with authorities saying he shared vile images between September 26 and December 5, 2024.
Jesus Angel Rios, 20, pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of distribution of child pornography.
Under federal law, Rios faces a maximum 20-year prison sentence, with a sentencing hearing set after a presentence investigation by the US Probation Office.
Rios will also be required to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison and will be subject to federal and state sex offender registration requirements, which may apply throughout his life.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
