A 35-year-old Boonville man was caught with thousands of child pornography images and videos on his devices after an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Lance Aaron Larkin shared a file containing child porn using a peer-to-peer software, leading authorities to his doorstep.
During a search of his residence, law enforcement found a massive collection of child sex abuse material, sparking charges of receipt and possession of CSAM.
Under federal law, Larkin faces up to 20 years in prison without parole if convicted.
The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sex exploitation.
