Michael A. Driemeier, a 32-year-old registered sex offender from Bonne Terre, Missouri, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for possessing child pornography and raping a woman. The crime occurred in 2024, when Driemeier exchanged child sexual abuse material on Snapchat and committed the rape. He was caught by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in January 2025, after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children alerted them to his activities.
Driemeier’s plea agreement revealed that he had obtained and sent child sexual abuse material to others, and he also admitted to raping a 20-year-old female acquaintance in a hotel room in February 2024. This is not his first offense, as he was previously convicted of second-degree statutory rape in 2018 for assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
The investigation was conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Missouri State Technical Assistance Team, and the Bonne Terre Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson prosecuted the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Driemeier will be on supervised release for life after his release from prison. His sentence reflects the seriousness of his crimes and the need to protect the community from further harm.
