Grimy Times Exclusive: Local Man Indicted on Gun and Cocaine Charges
Keenan Young, 27, of Pittsburgh, PA 15208, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on two counts of violating federal narcotics and firearms laws. According to the indictment, on April 16, 2021, Young was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, a firearm, and ammunition.
Young’s prior felony conviction makes it unlawful for him to possess a firearm or ammunition, making this a serious offense.
Assistant United States Attorney Michael R. Ball is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of not more than 30 years in prison, a fine of $2,250,000, or both.
Young is currently being detained at Allegheny County Jail. An indictment is an accusation, and Young is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
This case serves as a reminder of the dangers of gun and drug possession in our community. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
