North Hollywood Woman Sentenced to 15 Years for Ketamine Distribution

A San Fernando Valley woman was sentenced to 180 months in federal prison for her long-running drug dealing activities, including selling ketamine that contributed to at least two deaths, including the overdose death of actor Matthew Perry in October 2023.

Kelli Brown, 38, of North Hollywood, California, was sentenced yesterday in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama following her guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine.

According to court documents, Brown operated a ketamine distribution network in the San Fernando Valley, selling the powerful and highly addictive drug to users in the area.

The investigation into Brown’s activities was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), with assistance from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.

Prosecutors alleged that Brown’s actions contributed to the overdose death of actor Matthew Perry, who passed away in October 2023 after ingesting ketamine.

The sentencing marks a significant victory for law enforcement in the ongoing battle against the opioid epidemic.

Brown’s sentence includes 180 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release. She was also ordered to forfeit her interest in a 2018 BMW X5, which was used in the commission of her crimes.
