A Las Vegas man has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term for his role in child exploitation and possession of child pornography.
Kenneth James Robison, 35, was sentenced to 15 years and 10 months in prison for one count of sexual exploitation of children and one count of possession of child pornography.
The charges stem from an incident on April 9, 2020, when Robison recorded a video of himself sexually exploiting a child who was less than 12 years old. He then shared the video with others using the online messaging platform Kik.
In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Judge Richard F. Boulware II ordered Robison to serve a lifetime term of supervised release and pay restitution to his victims.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the North Las Vegas Police Department, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Supriya Prasad prosecuting the case.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
The initiative marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
