Kevin Lillis Sentenced for Child Sexual Abuse Material Distribution

New Orleans – Kevin Lillis, 51, of Metairie, Louisiana, has been sentenced to 175 months in prison for distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), announced Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson.

Lillis was also handed a 15-year supervised release term following his imprisonment, a $100 mandatory special assessment fee, and was required to register as a sex offender. A restitution hearing is scheduled for October 28, 2025.

The investigation began after the FBI executed a search warrant at Lillis’s residence in March 2024, uncovering electronic devices containing over 600 images and six videos of child sexual abuse. One video was approximately 12 minutes long, depicting the sexual victimization of children. Lillis had distributed these files between January and March 2024.

Court documents revealed Lillis’s conversations with other users on encrypted messaging apps, where he admitted to having hands-on sexual contact with prepubescent minors as young as eight years old over two decades. He also shared sexually suggestive pictures of a minor with whom he interacted.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. U.S. Attorney Simpson commended the FBI’s work in investigating the matter. Assistant United States Attorney Jordan Ginsberg handled the prosecution.
