Kevin Rockwell, Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Materials, Maine 2025

A Kennebunkport man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for possessing child pornography in Maine.

According to court records, in November 2024, law enforcement agents executed a search warrant at Kevin Rockwell’s residence in Kennebunkport. Agents recovered a tablet located on a nightstand; a review of the tablet uncovered numerous image and video files of child sexual abuse material, including prepubescent children.

Rockwell, 41, pleaded guilty on June 10, 2025. In addition to the 20-year prison sentence, he was ordered to pay $104,000 in restitution to victims whose images he possessed.

Rockwell was also ordered to serve 18 consecutive months in prison based on a violation of his supervised release stemming from his prior federal conviction for transportation of child pornography. He was sentenced to 8 ½ years in federal prison for that offense.

The FBI investigated the case. Chief U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker handed down the sentence in U.S. District Court in Portland.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006.
