OKLAHOMA CITY – CHRISTOPHER KYLE BUXTON, 35, of Lawton, Oklahoma, will spend the next three decades behind bars after being sentenced to 360 months in federal prison for his role in a sickening child pornography operation. The sentence, handed down by U.S. District Judge Jodi W. Dishman, reflects the gravity of Buxton’s crimes and a clear message to anyone preying on innocent children.
According to court records, between August 2023 and April 30, 2024, Buxton didn’t just possess child pornography – he actively induced others to create it. He built a vast collection of depraved material, distributed it, and callously used the sexual exploitation of children for his own twisted gratification. The sheer scale of his involvement points to a deliberate and sustained pattern of abuse.
“Securing justice for vulnerable child victims, and holding child predators accountable, remains an unwavering priority for my office and the Justice Department,” stated U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester. “This 30-year sentence sends a clear and uncompromising message that such heinous crimes will be met with the full force of the law.” Troester’s statement underscores the federal government’s commitment to dismantling these networks and protecting children from online exploitation.
The investigation, spearheaded by the FBI Oklahoma City Field Office, revealed the depth of Buxton’s depravity. “A sentence of this magnitude reflects the severity of the crimes committed,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge Doug Goodwater. “He will now spend decades behind bars where he can no longer target children in our communities.” The meticulous work of federal agents and prosecutors brought Buxton to justice, ensuring he can no longer inflict harm.
Buxton was initially charged by Superseding Information on December 26, 2024, and pleaded guilty on January 7, 2025, admitting to the charges of aiding and abetting in the production of child pornography and possessing child pornography. At the July 18, 2025 sentencing, Judge Dishman didn’t mince words, describing Buxton’s conduct as “egregious and reprehensible,” and admitting the depravity was “difficult to comprehend.” Beyond the prison sentence, Buxton will also face a lifetime of supervised release and must pay $41,500 in restitution.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood (PSC), a national initiative dedicated to combating child sexual exploitation. PSC brings together federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute offenders, and to rescue victims.
