Kimani Jones, Sex Trafficking, Alabama 2020
Kimani Jones, also known as ‘Statik,’ a 32-year-old Montgomery, Alabama resident, was convicted of multiple charges of sex trafficking several victims, including two minors, between August 2016 and November 2020.
The federal jury in the Middle District of Alabama found that Jones compelled seven victims to commit commercial sex acts, transported and caused to be transported two victims across state lines for prostitution purposes, and used physical and sexual violence to create a climate of fear that terrified the victims.
Evidence presented during the trial showed that Jones organized and led an extensive commercial sex operation, renting hotel rooms where commercial sex acts occurred, providing food, clothing, and drugs to the victims, constructing advertisements for commercial sex that he then posted online to solicit customers, and dictating rules that the victims had to follow.
Jones frequently flaunted the money he made from the victims on social media and did not have a lawful job during the years he ran his sex trafficking operation. He subsisted off the earnings of the victims and used extensive violence against them and others in their presence.
Co-defendant Tremayne Lambert, also known as ‘Bayrock,’ a 50-year-old Montgomery, Alabama resident and the biological father of Jones, was found guilty of sex trafficking one victim between August 2017 and February 2018 and two other victims between July 2019 and November 2020.

The prosecution of Jones and his co-defendants is a testament to the courageous young women who detailed the coercive scheme they perpetrated for years on scores of women and girls.
