Cocaine Distribution Rocks Bangor Community
A shocking case of cocaine distribution has come to light in Bangor, Maine, as 32-year-old Kliton Xhemali pleaded guilty to the crime in U.S. District Court.
The charges against Xhemali stem from an incident on April 2, 2015, when he sold approximately one ounce of cocaine for $1,550 to a cooperating witness and federal agent working in an undercover capacity from his residence in Bangor.
The defendant faces severe consequences for his actions, including up to 20 years in prison, a $1,000,000 fine, and between three years and life on supervised release.
The case was thoroughly investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, bringing Xhemali’s actions to the forefront.
Xhemali’s guilty plea marks a significant development in the case, and his sentence will be determined by the court.
