A 26-year-old man from Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, has been charged with receiving a visual depiction of child pornography, according to a federal grand jury indictment.
Kyle Orlando Luke allegedly received a video via Snapchat on December 29, 2021, depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct, the indictment states.
If convicted, Luke faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years in federal prison.
The charge against him is the result of an investigation by the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation and the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman is handling the prosecution.
Luke is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The indictment marks the latest development in a growing trend of child pornography cases in Wisconsin.
Local law enforcement agencies and federal prosecutors have been working closely together to investigate and prosecute individuals involved in the production and distribution of child pornography.
