A 27-year-old New Orleans man has been sentenced to 132 months in prison for federal firearm and drug trafficking offenses.
Lance Stevens, 27, of New Orleans, Louisiana, was sentenced on August 15, 2023, after pleading guilty to a six-count indictment charging him with federal firearm and drug trafficking offenses.
According to court documents, Stevens was charged with the following crimes:

The crimes were committed in New Orleans, Louisiana. Stevens was sentenced by United States District Court Chief Judge Nannette Jolivette Brown.
Chief Judge Brown sentenced Stevens to 132 months of imprisonment after granting his motion for a downward variance from the United States Sentencing Guidelines. Stevens will also serve 3 years of supervised release following his imprisonment and pay $600 in mandatory special assessment fees.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
On May 26, 2021, the government launched a violent crime reduction strategy strengthening PSN based on these core principles: fostering trust and legitimacy in our communities, supporting community-based organizations that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place, setting focused and strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring the results.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney David Berman of the Violent Crimes Unit handled the prosecution.
