Lodi Man Charged with Distributing Child Pornography
A 29-year-old Lodi man has been indicted for distributing child pornography, according to federal authorities.
Jarod Perdichizzi is accused of using the Kik messenger service to chat online about having sexual contact with a minor female and emailing photos of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct to an undercover federal agent.
Agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) executed a federal search warrant at Perdichizzi’s residence and found a thumb drive containing hundreds of images of child pornography.
Perdichizzi has been in custody since his arrest on July 28, 2016.
He faces a maximum statutory penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Special Assistant United States Attorney Josh F. Sigal is prosecuting the case.
