Loren Glen Warner, a 27-year-old man from Fresno, California, has been charged with production, receipt, and possession of child pornography in a federal indictment.
According to the indictment, Warner met a 14-year-old victim at her family’s church in Cattaraugus County, New York, in early January 2017.
The two began communicating via Facebook and Snapchat, during which Warner made sexual references and statements, and sent sexually explicit images of himself to the victim.
Warner also asked for and received nude photographs of the victim, despite knowing her age.
In a separate case, Warner pleaded guilty to Rape in the Second Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor in Cattaraugus County Court on March 27, 2017.
Warner is currently being held without bail and is set to be sentenced on those charges on July 12, 2017.
The indictment is the result of an investigation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, the New York State Police, and the Cattaraugus County District Attorney’s Office.
The charges against Warner carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years, a maximum of 30 years, and a $250,000 fine.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and Warner is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
