Kidnapping and theft charges have been met with a guilty plea in Oklahoma.
MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Louis Lee Ray Hamons, age 23, of Kingston, Oklahoma, entered a guilty plea to two counts of Kidnapping in Indian Country, punishable by a term of up to life in prison and a $250,000.00 fine for each count, and one count of Theft in Indian Country, punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of $250,000.00.
The crimes occurred in Marshall County, within the boundaries of the Chickasaw Nation Reservation, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The charges arose from an investigation by the Madill Police Department, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
On March 2, 2025, Hamons allegedly unlawfully seized, confined, kidnapped, and abducted two victims. He is also accused of stealing a vehicle exceeding $1,000 in value on the same date.
The Honorable Jason A. Robertson, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.
A U.S. District Court Judge will determine the sentence to be imposed after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Hamons was remanded into the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Gross represented the United States.
