A Jamestown man is going to prison for selling methamphetamine.
Mark R. Maio, 40, of Jamestown, NY, was sentenced to serve 121 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara after being convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, who is handling the case, stated that in January 2019, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence of Maio and co-defendant Brittany Dellahoy. During the search, law enforcement recovered quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, crack cocaine, heroin, drug paraphernalia, and $2,036 in cash.
Brittany Dellahoy was previously convicted and sentenced. The quantities of methamphetamine recovered during the search warrant execution were not specified in the amount, but authorities stated that the case involved the distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department, under the direction of Chief Timothy Jackson, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, under the direction of Cattaraugus County Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Frank Tarantino, New York Field Division.
