Fedo A. Manning, 24, of Kansas City, Mo., was sentenced to five and a half years in federal prison for conspiring to traffic firearms to prohibited persons. U.S. District Judge Beth Phillips imposed the sentence on Fedo Manning, who admitted joining an agreement to sell firearms to felons or individuals banned under federal law. Manning served as a straw purchaser, buying guns from licensed dealers for resale to those disqualified. Between Jan. 13, 2023, and May 11, 2022, investigators found he bought at least 40 firearms, including 33 Anderson Manufacturing AM-15s. One of his purchases was recovered at the scene of a shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory celebration in 2024.
Manning’s brother, Antonio Manning, Sr., 23, also admitted to participating in the illegal firearm scheme. He was sentenced to 48 months in prison and ordered to pay $11,260 in criminal forfeiture. Another brother, Sheron Manning, 22, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and illegal trafficking of an unregistered machinegun, receiving a 57-month sentence. Dejohuan Mietz Huntley, 27, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and was sentenced to 70 months in prison.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Trey Alford and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
