Manuel Delgado Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Sex Crime in Virginia
A man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a heinous sex crime in Virginia. Manuel Delgado, 26, of Hyattsville, Maryland, pleaded guilty to transportation of a minor across state lines for criminal sexual activity on March 16.
According to court documents, Delgado met the 13-year-old victim through family when she was 11 years old and began a romantic relationship with her that lasted over a year. He then used a car service to travel from Maryland to Virginia to pick up the minor victim at her school bus stop and took her back to his house in Maryland, where he had sex with her.
