Mario Long, 53, Sentenced to 10 Years for Gun Crime in St. Louis

A registered sex offender who was found to be in possession of a gun during a domestic dispute in St. Louis has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. Mario Long, 53, was arrested on August 6, 2020, after his then-girlfriend locked him out of the house during a dispute.

According to evidence and testimony presented at Long’s trial in August, the defendant shattered the glass on the home’s front door and assaulted his girlfriend. He then retrieved a gun from a bedroom and pointed it at his girlfriend and her daughter.
