Child Predator Unmasked: Ex-Soccer Coach Charged with Horrific Crimes

A 61-year-old Huntington Beach man with a twisted dark side has been indicted for allegedly producing, distributing, and possessing child pornography, the Grimy Times has learned.

Mark Phillip Oster, a former referee and coach in the American Youth Soccer Organization, was named in a four-count indictment filed in United States District Court in Santa Ana.

The indictment charges Oster with two counts of producing child pornography, one count of distributing child pornography, and one count of possessing child pornography. If convicted, Oster faces a statutory maximum sentence of 100 years in federal prison, with each count of producing child pornography carrying a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years.

Oster was arrested on July 30, after FBI agents uncovered evidence indicating he engaged in illegal conduct with minor victims. The investigation is ongoing, and the FBI is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Identified victims may be eligible for certain services and rights under federal and/or state law. The FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office is urging anyone with information to contact them at (310) 477-6565 or through their online tip portal.

Oster is scheduled to be arraigned on the indictment on September 7. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew Beshai of the Santa Ana Branch Office and Trial Attorney Kyle Reynolds of the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section.
