Pittsburgh Woman Charged with Child Pornography
A former resident of Farrell, Pennsylvania, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges of producing and distributing images of the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Mary B. Jacobs, 25, was named as the sole defendant in a two-count indictment.
According to the indictment, Jacobs produced and distributed still images depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor from February 27, 2017, through February 28, 2017.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of 50 years in prison, a fine of $500,000, or both.
Assistant United States Attorney Carolyn J. Bloch is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
The Pennsylvania State Police conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.
An indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
The case is ongoing, and no sentencing date has been set.
