A massive methamphetamine distribution conspiracy in Pierre, South Dakota, has been busted, with ringleaders Brandon Hitt and Luticia Falcon receiving lengthy prison sentences. The pair, both 41, were involved in a complex web of drug trafficking that began in June 2024 and continued until October 2025, involving up to 45 kilograms of methamphetamine. Hitt, a convicted felon, would acquire large quantities of meth from Texas, which Falcon would help transport to South Dakota for distribution. The conspiracy, which involved several other individuals, was finally dismantled after a thorough investigation.
Hitt pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm on June 15, 2026, and was subsequently sentenced to 26 years and eight months in federal prison. Falcon pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance on March 19, 2026, and received an eight-year and four-month sentence. Both defendants were also ordered to pay fines and special assessments to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
The investigation, which resulted in the seizure of numerous firearms, was a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies. The convictions of Hitt and Falcon mark a significant victory in the fight against methamphetamine distribution in South Dakota. Five other co-defendants are currently set for trial on November 3, 2026.
