A Las Vegas kingpin is going down for peddling poison in the heartland. Quantiae Harris, 49, masterminded a California and Nevada-based methamphetamine and fentanyl trafficking operation that swamped Sioux Falls with toxic goods.
Between 2023 and 2024, Harris’ crew shipped massive quantities of meth and fentanyl from California to South Dakota via the US Postal Service and rental vehicles with hidden stash compartments. They used hotel rooms and short-term rentals like Airbnb to set up shop, doling out the deadly doses to local dealers.
But Harris’ crew was slick – they never sold the goods on the premises, instead directing customers to meet at public spots near their hideouts. Buyers paid cash or online to get their fix.
A federal grand jury indicted Harris in September 2024, and a jury convicted him of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, and conspiracy to commit money laundering in March 2026.
