Jessica Demaine, a 39-year-old woman, has been sentenced to 78 months in federal prison for her role in supplying methamphetamine to the IPO Blood criminal street gang in the Spokane area. The trafficking operation was uncovered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) in 2025, which led to an investigation that revealed Demaine as the source of the methamphetamine. The investigation began after an undercover ATF agent purchased multiple firearms and a large quantity of methamphetamine from members of the IPO Blood gang. When a 3-year-old child overdosed on fentanyl, the probe led to Demaine, who is also facing state charges in Spokane County Superior Court.
Demaine’s involvement with the IPO Blood gang was confirmed by phone records, text messages, and CashApp records, which showed her acting as a source of supply for the gang. She was federally indicted and arrested in May 2025, but was released to attend inpatient treatment and later lived in a clean and sober house and with her sister in the Cheney area.
However, in December 2025, Demaine tested positive for methamphetamine, leading to a warrant being issued for her arrest. She has now been sentenced to 78 months in federal prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release. The case highlights the ongoing struggle against meth trafficking in the Spokane area and the efforts of law enforcement agencies like the ATF and DEA to disrupt these operations.
