Richard Allen, Meth Trafficking, Tennessee 2024

⏱ 3 min read

A six-time felon, Richard Allen, aka ‘Hoss’, got busted big time in Chattanooga’s East Lake Courts Housing Complex. On August 15, 2024, cops found him with over 50 grams of meth, loaded pistols, and drug trafficking gear. He was reeled in again on September 6, 2024, with 21 grams of 99% pure meth.

Prosecutors say Allen was running a massive meth operation and used guns to do business. A jury agreed, convicting him of multiple charges, including possessing over 50 grams of meth with intent to distribute and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

Allen’s got a long rap sheet, with six previous felony convictions. Now he’s facing a mandatory minimum 10-year sentence, up to life in the slammer. Sentencing’s set for October 1, 2026.

The Chattanooga Police Department and the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force led the investigation, with the ATF and DEA lending a hand. Assistant US Attorneys Chris Poole and Kevin Brown brought the heat in court.
