The indictment, unsealed on April 14, 2026, names eight defendants: Shawn Bernard Echols, Lamont Roquinton Thomas, Anthony Lynn Lloyd, Adrian Linn Travier, Lamar Edward Sanders, Keith Trayvon Curtis, Lue Chanel Williams, and Gregory Levell Traylor.

These defendants are accused of conspiring to distribute controlled substances, with some also facing additional charges, including attempted possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

The investigation, dubbed Operation Lake Effect, was a collaborative effort between the FBI, DEA, ATF, and US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan.
