Aerian Porter-Craig, a 34-year-old Harper Woods woman, peddled deadly doses of fentanyl-laced cocaine to three Grosse Pointe Woods residents, killing two, on June 9, 2023. The victims, identified as Adult Victims 1 and 2, died from fentanyl toxicity, while a third victim, AV-3, succumbed to a mix of fentanyl and xylazine, an animal tranquilizer.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner concluded that the victims’ fatal overdoses were caused by the combination of fentanyl and xylazine, which is often mixed with fentanyl by traffickers. Porter-Craig delivered the deadly doses to the victims in the evening of June 9, 2023, after which their phone communications stopped.

Porter-Craig was arrested on September 11, 2024, and subsequently pleaded guilty to the charges. She received a 210-month sentence, equivalent to 17.5 years, for her role in the fentanyl overdose murders.
