Levi McAlevy, a 37-year-old from Cozad, Nebraska, was involved in a large-scale methamphetamine distribution ring, selling over 25 kilograms of the drug in central and western Nebraska. McAlevy’s operation, which used guns and threats to intimidate others, was busted after he sold meth to a confidential informant on two occasions in 2024. The sales, which occurred on September 19 and October 2, 2024, were part of a larger investigation by the CODE Task Force. On July 17, 2026, McAlevy was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.

McAlevy’s sentence, handed down by United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis, includes 30 years of imprisonment, followed by a 7-year term of supervised release. The sentence is a significant blow to methamphetamine distribution in Nebraska, and a testament to the work of the CODE Task Force and other law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation.
