A daring operation by law enforcement has brought down a notorious methamphetamine ring in Rochester, Minnesota. Steven Lindquist, 30, and Tiffany Gauthier, 24, were charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess over 500 grams of methamphetamine.
According to authorities, the duo conspired with others to distribute the illicit substance from November 2018 to May 29, 2019. The investigation, led by the DEA and the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team, uncovered a massive operation with ties to Goodhue and Olmsted counties.
A vehicle linked to Lindquist was seized by law enforcement, yielding approximately 55 pounds of methamphetamine and $17,920 in cash. In addition to the methamphetamine charges, Lindquist was also found to be in possession of various controlled substances, including hydrocodone, oxycodone, alprazolam, clonazepam, MDMA, and marijuana.
Lindquist was arraigned before Magistrate Judge Becky R. Thorson and ordered detained pending trial. Gauthier, also facing charges, is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas M. Hollenhorst is prosecuting the case.
The charges against Lindquist and Gauthier include conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The indictment is a result of an extensive investigation by the DEA, Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, and other members of the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team.
The indictment serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of methamphetamine use and the devastating impact it has on communities. As the investigation unfolds, authorities remain committed to disrupting the flow of illicit substances and bringing those responsible to justice.
