Meth Queenpin Sentenced to 20 Years

A Charleston woman has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for her role in a multi-state methamphetamine conspiracy.

Angie Lane Harbour, 40, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, a charge that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars. Harbour’s sentencing is set for May 16, 2022.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Harbour was a key player in the multi-state methamphetamine distribution organization operating in and around Charleston. She acted as a driver for members of the organization both locally and during resupply trips out-of-state.

On August 4, 2021, Harbour and two co-conspirators were returning from a resupply trip to Columbus, Ohio when they were stopped by police in Cross Lanes. Police seized approximately one pound of methamphetamine from the vehicle.

Harbour is one of 17 defendants charged as a result of this investigation. Several others have pleaded guilty or are scheduled to do so in the coming weeks.

United States Attorney William S. Thompson commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Charleston Police Department, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department, and the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team (MDENT) in bringing Harbour to justice.

Assistant United States Attorney Joshua Hanks is handling the prosecution. United States District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin presided over the plea hearing.
