Robert James Jackson, Methamphetamine Distribution, Oklahoma 2024

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The streets of southeastern Oklahoma are a little less flooded with poison today after three key players in a methamphetamine distribution network received hefty federal prison sentences. ROBERT JAMES JACKSON, 31, of Hugo, ANDRE CIMONE GOLSTON, 35, of Idabel, and ANTWAINE TREMAINE NELSON, 33, of Idabel, all felt the weight of the law after a lengthy investigation brought their operation crashing down.

Jackson, the alleged ringleader, received the harshest sentence: 168 months behind bars for one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine. His operation, according to investigators, stretched from the spring of 2020 until approximately October 2021, pumping dangerous amounts of the drug into communities across the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The sentence serves as a stark warning – moving serious quantities of meth doesn’t pay, it just lands you in a cage for years.

While Jackson took the brunt of the punishment, his associates weren’t let off easy. Golston was sentenced to 48 months in prison for one count of Use of a Communication Facility – meaning she used phones or other devices to facilitate the drug trafficking. Nelson received 46 months for the same charge, highlighting how modern drug operations rely on technology, and how law enforcement is cracking down on that aspect of the trade.

The investigation wasn’t a solo effort. The Drug Enforcement Administration, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office, and Idabel Police Department all collaborated to dismantle the operation. These agencies worked tirelessly, building a case that ultimately led to guilty pleas from all three defendants: Golston on September 22, 2022, Nelson on October 13, 2022, and Jackson on October 19, 2022. This shows a coordinated response to a serious threat.

The Honorable John F. Heil III, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, handed down the sentences in Muskogee. All three defendants are now in the custody of the U.S. Marshal, awaiting transfer to a federal Bureau of Prisons facility to begin serving their non-paroleable sentences. No early release for these guys. They’ll be doing significant time.

Assistant United States Attorney Erin Cornell skillfully prosecuted the case, securing convictions and ensuring these criminals faced justice. While this case is closed, the fight against drug trafficking in Oklahoma remains a constant battle. Grimy Times will continue to report on the individuals and networks poisoning our communities, and the law enforcement officials working to bring them to justice.
