Meth Trafficker Sentenced to 15 Years

A Worden man who admitted to trafficking large quantities of methamphetamine was sentenced to 15 years and eight months in prison. Bo Bryan Fish, 40, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine on January 27. U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters presided over the case, and Fish was detained.

Fish was investigated by the Eastern Montana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, which found that he had been taking trips to Colorado to acquire bulk quantities of meth, ranging from five to 20 pounds per trip. Cooperating witnesses told investigators that Fish had been involved in drug trafficking for about eight months.

A traffic stop of Fish’s truck led investigators to find 10 pounds of methamphetamine in the back seat. Fish admitted to acquiring the meth that day in Wyoming. He also stated that he had been acquiring bulk meth from the source for about eight months. Investigators seized 10 pounds of meth from the vehicle and about seven ounces of meth from Fish’s property. The 10 pounds of meth is equivalent to about 36,240 doses.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Colin M. Rubich prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the Eastern Montana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and FBI Western Transnational Organized Crime Task Force. This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a U.S. Department of Justice initiative to reduce violent crime.

According to the government, between January and March 2020, the Eastern Montana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force began investigating Fish for his involvement in drug trafficking. The investigation led to a significant seizure of methamphetamine and the conviction of Fish.

The sentence is a result of the hard work and dedication of law enforcement agencies in Montana. The U.S. Attorney’s Office commends the investigators and prosecutors who worked on this case and acknowledges the importance of their efforts in reducing violent crime in the state.
