DETROIT, Mich. – A chilling revelation from the Department of Justice USAO in Michigan has brought to light a major ISIS-linked terror plot involving multiple suspects. Last Friday, the FBI swooped in and arrested these suspects, charging them with conspiracy to provide material support to the notorious terrorist organization.
The complaint outlines a sinister plan that included AR-style rifles, shotguns, handguns, and other tactical equipment intended for an assault on American soil. Attorney General Pamela Bondi called the plot ‘grievous,’ emphasizing the gravity of the situation.
‘This newly unsealed complaint reveals a major ISIS-linked terror plot with multiple subjects arrested in the Eastern District of Michigan targeting the United States,’ Bondi stated. The arrest came as a result of months of diligent investigative work, with U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgon Jr. leading the charge.
FBI Director Kash Patel praised the quick action that likely saved many lives. ‘We’ll continue to follow the facts, uphold the law, and deliver justice for the American people,’ Patel said.
U.S. Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon, Jr., expressed gratitude to the FBI and local law enforcement for their efforts in keeping the Homeland safe. Special Agent Jennifer Runyan of the FBI Detroit Field Office emphasized the agency’s commitment to defending the homeland and disrupting any threats to national security.
