Hank Joshua Bell, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Oklahoma 2014

HANK JOSHUA BELL, a 34-year-old resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, has entered a guilty plea in federal court for Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

The charges stem from an investigation led by the Muskogee Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Bell was indicted back in November 2014.

According to the Indictment, on or about October 8, 2014, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Bell, who had been previously convicted of a crime with a prison term exceeding one year, knowingly possessed firearms that had been shipped and transported in interstate commerce.

Judge Steven P. Shreder, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma in Muskogee, accepted Bell’s guilty plea and has ordered the completion of a presentence report. Sentencing is pending after this report is finalized. Bell remains in custody under the United States Marshal Service until his sentencing.

The potential punishment for Bell under federal law includes up to 10 years imprisonment and/or a fine of $250,000. Assistant United States Attorney Kyle Waters represented the government during the proceedings.
