Jesse Lee Fish, Illegal Firearm Possession, Oklahoma 2024

A federal judge has slammed down the hammer on a Muskogee man, handing down a 46-month prison sentence for illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition.

Jesse Lee Fish, age 34, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 46 months in prison for his conviction on one count of Felon in Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.

The charges against Fish arose from investigations by the Muskogee Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

On April 4, 2023, Fish knowingly possessed a rifle and ammunition, despite having been previously convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year imprisonment.

Fish pleaded guilty to the charge on October 31, 2023, and will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.

The Honorable Ronald A. White, Chief Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing.

Assistant United States Attorney Edith Singer represented the United States in the case.

Fish’s conviction and sentence serve as a stark reminder that breaking federal laws can have severe consequences, including lengthy prison terms.

As the people of Muskogee and Oklahoma demand justice, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma continues to work tirelessly to ensure that those who break the law are held accountable.
