Nathan Phillip Webster, Money Laundering Conspiracy, Oklahoma 2015

A Texas man has been convicted of money laundering in Eastern Oklahoma. NATHAN PHILLIP WEBSTER, 40, of McKinney, Texas, pled guilty to MONEY LAUNDERING CONSPIRACY in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The charges arose from an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The indictment alleged that Webster and his co-conspirators laundered money by purchasing a 2001 Green Ford F-150 truck with proceeds from the distribution and sale of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Webster deposited large sums of United States Currency into bank accounts in Dallas, Texas, to conceal and disguise the nature, location, source, ownership, and control of the proceeds from the distribution of methamphetamine.

Webster’s guilty plea was accepted by the Honorable Kimberly E. West, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. He will remain in the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending sentencing.

Assistant United States Attorney Rob Wallace represented the United States in the case.

The charge carries a penalty of not more than 20 years imprisonment, up to a $500,000 fine or both. Sentencing will be scheduled following the completion of a presentence report.

Webster’s involvement in the money laundering conspiracy dates back to August 2011 and continued until January 2013. The case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
