A 21-year-old New Orleans man rammed Louisiana State Police vehicles and stashed fentanyl, Tapentadol, and guns in a stolen Toyota Highlander on June 13, 2024.
Jadi’kiss J’Had Williams was attempting to avoid a traffic stop when he plowed into the cops, according to court documents.
During the search, officers found a firearm and packaged narcotics, which Williams faces a maximum 20-year sentence for possession with intent to distribute.
The firearms charge carries a maximum life sentence, as Williams was found guilty of possession of a gun in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Trummel is handling the prosecution, which is part of the Department’s Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative to reduce violent crime and gun violence.
