Peter Williams, Cocaine Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2021

A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 34 months in federal prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking operation in Western Pennsylvania.

Peter Williams, 58, of Northfield, Ohio, was convicted of possessing with intent to distribute over 300 grams of cocaine and cocaine base.

The charges stemmed from a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania on January 5, 2021.

According to court documents, Williams has a 40-year history of committing serious crimes, including several prior drug trafficking and weapons crimes.

Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.

United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan commended the Pennsylvania State Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation for their work on the case.

Williams will also serve three years of supervised release following his prison term.
