Kendale Adams, Heroin and Meth Trafficking, Louisiana 2024

New Orleans crime kingpin Kendale Adams, 41, faced the music in court this week, pleading guilty to a litany of drug trafficking and firearm offenses. Adams was caught with a stash of heroin, meth, and a stolen gun, marking yet another blow against the city’s flourishing black market.

According to federal prosecutors, on July 17, 2021, an FBI Task Force Officer spotted Adams outside a convenience store, where he was sporting a bulge in his front right waistband that concealed a firearm. When the feds alerted local NOPD officers, they apprehended Adams and found a clear bag stuffed with drugs and cash.

The seized cache included 6 grams of marijuana, .58 grams of methamphetamine, 4.49 grams of heroin, and approximately 5 grams of a dangerous heroin-fentanyl mixture. The recovered firearm, a Glock Model 19, was confirmed stolen by law enforcement. Adams’s possession of these drugs was with intent to distribute.

Adams has a rap sheet that reads like a Who’s Who of New Orleans crime, including convictions for crack cocaine, attempted armed robbery, ecstasy, and theft of goods. He is currently facing a maximum sentence of twenty years for the drug charge, plus ten years for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

This case was investigated by the FBI and NOPD, with Assistant U.S. Attorney André Jones handling the prosecution. Sentencing is scheduled to take place at a later date.
