Nicholas Andrade, Murder, Narcotics Distribution, New York 2023
Nicholas Andrade, the leader of a Long Island-based drug trafficking organization known as ‘No Budget,’ has been charged with murder, narcotics distribution, and multiple other crimes in connection with a violent drug trafficking operation that spanned several years.
According to court documents, Andrade, along with his associates Julian Hutchins, Prince Jones, Jose Lopez, and Ryan O’Malley, engaged in a large-scale trafficking and distribution of fentanyl and cocaine on Long Island and in Queens, New York, since 2017.
The indictment alleges that the defendants transported fentanyl and 137 kilograms of cocaine across the country for distribution primarily in Long Island and Queens. Andrade is also charged with the murder of Jose Manuel Sosa in Bay Shore on March 9, 2023, and the attempted murder of a potential witness to the crime in Queens on March 10, 2023.
Law enforcement recovered dozens of kilogram wrappers with cocaine residue, kilogram presses used to reshape narcotics, packaging materials, and quantities of fentanyl and cocaine as a result of court-authorized searches.
The investigation revealed that the defendants were responsible for the distribution of over 235 kilograms of cocaine and 20 kilograms of fentanyl.
Andrade’s arrest is the culmination of a long-term investigation by the Suffolk County Police Department, Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, New York City Police Department, New York State Police, Queens District Attorney’s Office, and U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
As alleged in court filings, the defendants carried out the large-scale trafficking and distribution of fentanyl and cocaine on Long Island and maintained a series of stash houses in Queens and on Long Island.
The DEA remains committed to protecting our communities from the scourge of fentanyl and drug-related violence. If convicted of the charges, the defendants face up to life in prison. The case is being prosecuted by the Eastern District of New York.
