NOPD Officer Sentenced for Tax Evasion

MAURICE R. PALMER, a 51-year-old resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was sentenced to 5 years probation for one count of tax evasion, announced U.S. Attorney Dana J. Boente.

A U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo ordered PALMER to pay $31,662 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service and a $100 special assessment.
