William Deshaun Martin, 48, and Jaquan Deshaune Johnson, 29, both of Norfolk, Virginia, were involved in a drug trafficking conspiracy that ended with their sentencing to prison. The two men were caught by law enforcement investigators in March and April 2025, during a series of controlled purchases of cocaine base, powder cocaine, and hydrocodone pills at a hair salon and Johnson’s apartment in Norfolk. The transactions often involved Martin travelling to Johnson’s apartment to deliver the narcotics or Johnson picking up the drugs from Martin’s residence.

The investigation led to a search of Martin’s residence on April 28, 2025, where investigators recovered a firearm, ammunition, marijuana, $1,666, and a digital scale, along with 21.73 grams of cocaine hydrochloride and 15.63 grams of cocaine base. The evidence gathered during the investigation was used to build a case against the two men, resulting in their sentencing.

Johnson was sentenced to three years and four months in prison, while Martin received a six-year prison sentence. The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Washington Division, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Washington Field Division, and the Norfolk Police Department all played a role in investigating the case, which was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Nancy Pham.
