Oklahoma Man Pleads Guilty to Illegal Firearm Possession

GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Justin Eagle Chambers, a 39-year-old resident of Colbert, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to Possession of Firearm & Ammunition by Prohibited Person, a federal offense that carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The court documents reveal that on March 26, 2025, Chambers was caught with a pistol and ammunition after being served with a court order. The order explicitly prohibited him from harassing or threatening an intimate partner, yet he was caught with the firearm hours after receiving notice of the order.

This charge stems from a joint investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Achille Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lewis M. Reagan represented the United States in the case.

Chambers’ sentence will be determined by a federal judge after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other legal factors. Until then, he remains in the custody of the United States Marshals Service.

Judge Gerald L. Jackson, a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, has accepted the guilty plea and ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed.

The disturbing case underscores the serious nature of violating court orders and the potential danger posed by individuals who possess firearms under such circumstances.
