Hard-hitting News: Okmulgee Resident Found Guilty of Drug and Firearm Crimes
In a stunning turn of events, Jason Dale Cole, 46, from Okmulgee, Oklahoma, has been found guilty on ten counts of federal drug and firearm charges. The jury’s verdict came down after a two-day trial in Muskogee.
Cole was convicted of two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, one count of Possession of a Machine Gun, two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime, one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, one count of Possession of Unregistered Firearm, and one count of Maintaining Drug Involved Premises.
The trial, which began on September 29, 2025, concluded with the jury returning guilty verdicts on October 1, 2025. Evidence presented by the United States included a traffic stop where Cole was found with two loaded pistols, a machinegun conversion device, and over 50 grams of methamphetamine.
In addition, a subsequent search of Cole’s residence revealed over 500 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, scales laced with meth residue, cash, firearms, and silencers. The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Cole will now face significant penalties following completion of a presentence report, to be presided over by Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White in Muskogee. The sentencing hearing is scheduled for a later date, with Cole currently held in custody of the United States Marshals.
