Kaden Ollila, Cyberstalking and Child Porn Distribution, Alaska 2024

JUNEAU, Alaska – Kaden Ollila, 21, of Tacoma, Washington, will spend the next 20 years in federal prison for a horrifying campaign of cyberstalking and the distribution of child pornography. The sentence, handed down yesterday, also includes a lifetime of supervised release following his incarceration. The scope of Ollila’s depravity impacted at least 61 minor victims, with evidence suggesting he targeted at least 95 more, both adults and children.

The case began in January 2024 when Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) flagged the online dissemination of pornographic images of teenage minors. Agents quickly zeroed in on Ollila, who utilized multiple online personas to upload and share the disturbing content on various pornographic websites. But the digital trail didn’t stop there. Court documents reveal a pattern of direct harassment and abuse.

Between January and February 2024, Ollila bombarded two adult victims with messages containing videos and photos of themselves engaged in sexual acts as 14-year-olds. He didn’t limit his abuse to past exploitation; on one occasion, he sent a victim sexually explicit images of other minor females. Even more chilling, Ollila openly discussed sexual acts he and others fantasized about while viewing images of his victims, and detailed violent sexual fantasies he intended to inflict upon them via platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Investigators uncovered a vast collection of child sexual abuse materials on Ollila’s devices, including digitally altered images – “morphed” nudes with the faces of both adults and minors superimposed. The primary victims resided in southeast Alaska, particularly Juneau, and northern California, specifically Redding. The U.S. Attorney’s Office highlighted the bravery of the 16 victims who testified at the sentencing hearing, their accounts heavily influencing the maximum penalty imposed.

“Kaden Ollila used technology to harass, stalk and terrorize victims across Alaska, California and elsewhere and reveled in the torture he caused,” stated U.S. Attorney Michael J. Heyman for the District of Alaska. “Now, he will spend 20 years behind bars—the statutory maximum penalty for the crimes he committed.” Colin Jackson, Acting Special Agent in Charge of HSI Seattle, emphasized the agency’s dedication to protecting children: “Ollila targeted dozens of victims across multiple states, and thanks to the diligent efforts of our agents, he is now being held accountable for his actions.”

Ollila was indicted on March 20, 2024, and pleaded guilty to one count of distributing child pornography and two counts of cyberstalking on November 7, 2024. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Reed as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative dedicated to combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. This investigation underscores the grim reality of online predators and the relentless efforts of law enforcement to bring them to justice.
