Randy Arnold, Child Pornography Possession, Nebraska 2023

Omaha’s Randy Arnold has been handed a severe 84-month sentence for his involvement in the grim world of child pornography. The 51-year-old man, who was found with a staggering 74 videos depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, will spend seven years behind bars.

The case, which unfolded under the auspices of Project Safe Childhood—a DOJ initiative launched to combat the alarming rise of child exploitation—began with a disturbing incident at Arnold’s residence. On June 12, 2016, police were called to his home after discovering a thumb drive containing explicit content. An extensive search warrant was executed, leading to the revelation of the extensive child pornography collection.

Acting United States Attorney Robert C. Stuart announced the sentence imposed by Chief Judge Laurie Smith Camp. Arnold will serve no parole in the federal system and upon release, he faces a five-year term of supervised release, along with a mandatory sex offender registration.

In addition to his prison term, Arnold is compelled to pay $700 in restitution to one identified victim. The severity of this sentence underscores the nation’s commitment to protecting children from such predators.

Investigating the case was the Omaha Police Department, demonstrating their dedication to upholding justice and protecting the innocence of young victims. Project Safe Childhood continues to be a beacon of hope in the battle against online child exploitation.
