Anthony Moore, Cocaine Trafficking Conspiracy, Nebraska 2024

Feds Take Down Local Cocaine Trafficker

Anthony Moore, a 49-year-old Omaha man, has been sentenced to 60 months in prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking ring, federal authorities announced today.

Moore was convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine after a lengthy investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

According to court documents, Moore was involved in selling cocaine to a confidential source on at least 12 separate occasions between 2017 and 2019. The source purchased a total of 8.5 grams of cocaine from Moore, with each purchase ranging from 3.5 grams to a full 8-ball.

Law enforcement also seized a package containing 520.5 grams of powder cocaine that was shipped to Moore from San Francisco in June 2018. The package was addressed to a rental property owned by Moore, and was intercepted by United States Postal Inspectors.

In addition to the cocaine, authorities also recovered $10,762 in cash, as well as cutting agents, packaging materials, scales, and paraphernalia consistent with drug distribution from Moore’s home during a search warrant in February 2019.

Moore will serve a 4-year term of supervised release following his release from prison, but will not be eligible for parole due to the federal system’s rules.

Co-defendants Isaac Johnson and Amanda Ferrell are still awaiting trial, with a jury trial scheduled for July 20, 2021.
