Oregon Trio Indicted for Marijuana Conspiracy
A trio from Eugene, Oregon, has been accused of conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, according to a federal indictment unsealed this week.
Justin Jones, 23, Glenn Shea, 20, and Jesse Parker, 23, were indicted by a federal grand jury on March 13, 2013, for two counts of conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
The maximum penalty upon conviction for the charges is 5 years of custody, a $250,000 fine, or both; 2 years of supervised release; and a $100 special assessment. Restitution may also be ordered.
According to the indictment, the charges are merely an accusation, and Jones, Shea, and Parker are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The investigation is being conducted by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jay Miller handling the case.
Jones, Shea, and Parker were released on bond pending trial, with a date yet to be set.
